Walk into any record store worth its vault in the world right now and chances are they’ll recommend Kurt Vile. A true artist. Been making records and small release albums and 12”s for years. Sounds like… Neil Young backed by Television? Like a Crazy Horse album without hits but every track a killer? Almost like a Frankenstein Meredith artist? He looks like half the crowd from Meredith 1995 .

It’s tender and evocative, elusive but companionable, tough in the gut and the arm but swollen in the chest and giddy in the head. There are actually TWO sunsets at Meredith and this dude’s gonna play the Friday night one. First trip to Oz. Kurt. See.
