Mistletone and Triple R present an enchanted evening with Jessica Pratt (USA), Olivia Chaney (UK) + Emily Ulman (Melbourne CBD).

California singer/songwriter Jessica Pratt delivers dreamy, introspective folk tinged with melancholy. Jessica’s music is both gently powerful and inviting; she can disarm and mesmerise with just her eerie voice and a delicately plucked guitar. Her unadorned, acoustic bare bones sound offers both intimacy and warmth, hypnotising all in hearing’s distance. Radio National praised the “warm, intimate folk numbers that escape the tyranny of history” on her self-titled debut, which was named Triple R Album of the Week (Mistletone Records, 2013). On January 27, Jessica Pratt will release her new album, On Your Own Love Again, via Drag City.

Ahead of her debut release on the esteemed Nonesuch Records, English singer/songwriter Olivia Chaney brings her otherworldly folk tunes to The Toff. The classically trained multi-instrumentalist performs her own sophisticated, poetry-tinged compositions alongside traditional British folk songs, showcasing her substantial musical chops on guitar, piano and harmonium. Her rich, pure-toned voice has drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell and gained the admiration of critics worldwide, with LA Weekly calling her “’Multi-talented … completely dizzying, a sound that didn’t seem to be of this earth.’  The Independent simply called her “A star in the making.”
